The Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited announced today that Joseph Siror, Ph.D., has been named its new managing director and chief executive officer. Dr. Siror will succeed Geoffrey Muli, with board chair Joy Brenda Masinde expressing her confidence in the newly appointed executive.
Prior to this appointment, Dr. Siror served as General Manager in charge of Technical Services (System Operations and Power Management) at the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company. His extensive experience in the public sector, as well as his strong background in power management, will provide Kenya Power with a new strategic direction.
“Dr. Siror’s wealth of experience, expertise, integrity, and energy will undoubtedly be invaluable assets to Kenya Power,” said Masinde. “His fresh perspective and proven track record will not only build upon the company’s past successes but also propel it towards an even more exciting future.”
