Do you know your voter registration status? There are a number of ways to check whether you are registered as a Kenyan voter as well as confirm other registration details.
Prior to the 2012 general election, the IEBC set-up an online portal that allowed members of the public to check their voter registration status. This soon stopped working but with effect from Thursday 29th June 2017 you can now make the use of SMS and the online portal to check your voter registration status.
Check Voter Registration Status Via SMS
- Text ID or Passport number, whichever you registered with, to 70000
- Wait for an SMS with your details
- The cost for this service is Kes 5 per SMS above normal rates.
Check Voter Registration Status Via IEBC Voter Verification Portal
- Visit voterstatus.iebc.or.ke
- Enter your ID number or passport, whichever you registered with, in the field provided.
- Click search
