How to Pay a Kenya Power Post Paid Bill Using Mpesa

Kenya has a number of bill payment options. One of these is via Mpesa. The following are the instructions to pay your Kenya Power bill via Mpesa.

Instructions

1. On your phone go to M-pesa.
2. Select “Lipa na M-pesa”
3. Select Paybill and enter the Kenya Power Paybill number which is 888888
4. Enter your account number in full, for example, 12345678. Take note that the new account numbers no longer have the trailing suffix at the end e.g. -01. You can read our article on how to find your new Kenya Power account number. 
5. Enter the amount and send.
6. You will get a pop up confirming the receiver is Kenya Power
7. After a few minutes to one hour, you will receive a message from Kenya Power confirming the transaction
