• Azimio leader Raila Odinga has previously said any signs of lack of goodwill on Kenya Kwanza side would see them exit the talks and resume street protests.

• Kalonzo on Monday said Azimio would walk out of bipartisan talks should the rival faction in Jubilee hold a parallel NDC to one held by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
ini MP Kabando wa Kabando has said Kenya has moved beyond mass protests to push for the opening of IEBC servers for election results analysis.

The former legislator says whereas it’s democratic to hold the Kenya Kwanza regime accountable for its pre-election pledges, this should be strictly on issues that affect the ordinary Kenyan.

“Any new call for maandamano that’s not against graft, impunity, taxation and high cost of living is unjustified. We’re beyond IEBC servers, leave alone the trajicomedy that’s Jubilee cacophony,” he said in a statement on Twitter on Tuesday.

The former MP was responding to remarks by Azimio co-principal Kalonzo Musyoka who on Monday said the outfit would walk out of the bipartisan talks should the rival faction in Jubilee hold a parallel National Delegates Convention to one held by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.

“We shall leave it to them so that they know they don’t believe in plural democracy,” he said.

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has previously said any signs of lack of goodwill on Kenya Kwanza side would see them exit the talks and resume street protests.

By Kalonzo threatening a bipartisan walkout, Kabando insinuated that the outfit may be seeking to push for a process akin to the failed Building Bridges Initiative.

“We know of covert extra-parliamentary negotiations. Another BBI fraud? God forbid! Billions of taxes were wasted in BBI. We can’t repeat impunity in BBI,” he said.

The former lawmaker reiterated that any push against the government of the day should be primarily for transparency purposes in the interest of the public.

“Even a civil overthrow through mass uprising is a legitimate democratic option,” he said.

He said such a move would be warranted in the face of corruption where funds meant for education, medicare, bursaries, water projects, food subsistence, security personnel and transport infrastructure is looted.

“We must focus on rescuing patients, students, famine & insecurity victims from bondage,” he said.
