Editorial Policy

InfoHub Kenya exists to give Kenyans information they can act on. That only works if the information is accurate, current and easy to understand. This page explains how we research, write, check and correct our content.

Our Standards

  • Official sources first. We check facts against official sources such as government websites (.go.ke), eCitizen, regulators, the Kenya Gazette, Kenya Law and organisations’ own websites. Reputable Kenyan media are used for recent changes.
  • We do not guess. Phone numbers, fees, codes, addresses and names are only published if they can be confirmed from a current source. If we cannot confirm something, we leave it out.
  • Directories come from registers. Where an official register exists, such as for licensed operators or professionals, we build our lists from it and link to the full register.
  • Plain language. We write for the average reader, with short sentences, clear steps and no unnecessary jargon.
  • Sources are shown. Articles end with a list of the main sources used, so you can check them yourself.

Fact-Check Dates

Each article shows the date its facts were last checked. When fees, procedures or office details change, we update the article and the date.

Health, Legal and Financial Content

Our health, legal and money articles explain general information. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor, advocate or licensed financial adviser about your own situation.

The site is funded by advertising and a small number of affiliate links. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no say in what we write or how we rate products. Pages with affiliate links carry a clear disclosure, and those links are marked as sponsored for search engines.

Corrections

If you find an error, please contact us with the page link and what needs correcting. We review every report. When we fix a factual error, we update the article and its fact-check date.

Retired Articles

Some older pages, such as short-lived news items or lists that could no longer be verified, have been retired. Where another page answers the same question, the old address redirects to it.
