This privacy policy explains what personal data InfoHub Kenya (infohub.co.ke) collects, why we collect it and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with Kenya’s Data Protection Act, 2019.

Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, email address, the page you are writing about and your message. We use this only to read and reply to your message.
  • Comments: if you comment on an article, we store the name, email address and comment you submit, together with your IP address and browser details to help detect spam. Your email address is never published.

Information collected automatically

  • Server logs: like almost every website, our web server records technical information such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and working properly.
  • Cookies: small files stored in your browser. See the cookies and advertising section below.

Cookies and Advertising

InfoHub Kenya is funded by advertising served by Google AdSense.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without cookies, but ads may be less relevant.

A few articles contain affiliate links, which are clearly marked. If you sign up through one of these links, the company may set its own cookie to record the referral. That company’s privacy policy applies to anything you do on its website.

Our guides link to official and third-party websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

How Long We Keep Data

  • Contact form messages: up to 12 months after the conversation ends.
  • Comments: for as long as the comment is published, or until you ask us to remove it.
  • Server logs: kept for a limited period by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you have the right to be informed about how your data is used, to access the personal data we hold about you, to object to its processing, and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
