Postal Codes in Kenya: Verified Post Offices from S to Z
Fact-checked on
In this article
Below are 68 verified post office entries beginning with letters S to Z. The list is rebuilt from section 3 of the Postal Corporation of Kenya’s February 2026 addendum, which labels its branch data “as at July 2025”.
This is a source-verified selection, not a claim that it includes every historical or currently operating postal outlet. Entries that could not be confirmed from the cited branch list have not been carried over from the old article. Absence here does not prove that a code has been cancelled.
Postal codes: S to Z
Use all five digits, including leading zeros. The names identify post offices, not a unique code for every estate or residential building.

How to use the correct code
Ask the recipient which post office serves their postal address and copy their full address, including the P.O. Box number where applicable. A postal code identifies the post office; it is not the recipient’s box number.
For example, write a code such as 00100 in full rather than shortening it to 100. In a spreadsheet, store postal codes as text so that leading zeros are not lost.
The post office name and code are the relevant pair. Do not substitute a county number, telephone area code or a code guessed from a nearby estate.
If your post office is not listed
Use the official Posta locator or ask Posta to confirm the name and code before sending the item. The locator is an interactive service and may require JavaScript to display results. The cited dated branch list is the verification basis for this article; it is not a real-time assurance that a counter is open or providing every service today.
Tip: Courier delivery can also require a street address, directions and telephone number. A postal code alone is not a complete delivery address.
