KISS TV Live: Closure Date and How to Find Kiss 100 Today
Fact-checked on
In this article
KISS TV shut down on 17 March 2023. If you are searching for a working “KISS TV live” player, do not confuse the former television channel with Kiss 100, the radio brand.
No official relaunch of KISS TV or current official live stream under that channel name was verified during this check. Kiss 100 has a current listening page, but an audio stream or a radio-show video does not mean the old TV channel has resumed broadcasting.
What happened to KISS TV?
NTV reported the closure on 17 March 2023 after seeing a Radio Africa Group internal memo. The memo attributed the decision to the television department’s inability to generate revenue and said the station would shut that day.
The channel had relaunched in May 2022 with music, sports and live-show programming. That relaunch is not evidence that it remains on air today: it preceded the closure.
This confirms the historical shutdown rather than merely inferring one from the absence of a television brand on a company website. It does not prove that every recording, social account or old channel listing has disappeared.
KISS TV and Kiss 100 are not the same service
| Name | What it refers to |
|---|---|
| KISS TV | Radio Africa’s former television channel, reported closed in March 2023. |
| Kiss 100 / Kiss FM | The radio brand with current listening options. |
| Radio-show clips or live video sessions | Individual programmes or videos; not proof of a restored 24-hour KISS TV channel. |
A web page can continue to use “live” in its title long after a stream has stopped. An old television-directory listing is not a reliable current programme schedule.
How to find Kiss 100 online
- Start with the Radio Africa Group website or the established Kiss 100 website address.
- Confirm that you are on a listening page labelled Kiss FM or Kiss 100, not an unrelated station with a similar name.
- Use the displayed Play control. The current page reached through kiss100.co.ke is titled “Kiss FM – Songaplay” and displays a listening interface and schedule.
- Allow the normal browser audio playback if requested. If playback does not start, check the internet connection and use the group’s official enquiry channel for a persistent problem.
Radio Africa’s listening FAQ directs listeners to Songa Play for available radio streams. This replaces the earlier draft’s assumption that the old /player/ URL is a confirmed working route; that URL could not be retrieved during this check.
The current listening interface was verified as a web page. Continuous audio playback was not independently tested, so no promise is made that it will play on every browser, device or connection. Streaming can use mobile data.
What about YouTube and live video?
Use a video-channel link supplied by Radio Africa or a verified Kiss brand page rather than assuming a search result is official. A channel name, logo or handle alone is not enough to establish ownership.
The earlier draft linked a specific YouTube handle without confirming an ownership link from the broadcaster. That recommendation has been removed. This guide does not embed or endorse an unverified stream.
Can rescanning the TV bring KISS TV back?
Rescanning can update the channels available through your receiver and aerial, but it cannot restart a broadcaster’s closed service. Do not pay someone merely because they promise to “unlock” the former channel.
If your television still shows an old KISS TV entry, check its actual programme feed and confirm the current service with the broadcaster or transmission provider. The saved name does not establish that the original channel is still operating.
Be careful with unofficial streaming claims
Do not install an unknown APK, browser extension or media player solely because a page promises KISS TV live. Do not enter payment or account details into a site whose operator you cannot verify.
This is a precaution, not an allegation that every third-party listing carries malware or broadcasts illegally. Some listings may simply be outdated or refer to a different station.
Tip: If you want music and presenters from the Kiss radio brand, look for Kiss 100’s current official listening options. If you want the former KISS TV channel, the confirmed historical fact is its March 2023 closure—not a verified live player.
