Where to Buy Used and Refurbished Computers in Nairobi
Fact-checked on
In this article
You can buy used or refurbished computers from specialist shops and resale sellers in Nairobi. Start with an identifiable seller and inspect the actual machine rather than assuming every “ex-UK” or “refurbished” listing has the same condition or warranty.
Selected sellers
These five businesses publish refurbished or ex-UK computer offerings on their own websites. Locations below are those the businesses publish; confirm them before travelling.

| Core-Grade Electronics | Refurbished ex-UK laptops; Superior Centre, 3rd floor, Shop J4, Nairobi CBD | Official website |
| Silicon Savannah Technologies | New and refurbished computers; Consolidated Bank House, Koinange Street, 3rd floor, Room 317 | Official website |

This is a selected directory, not a ranking or a guarantee of stock or workmanship. The websites’ refurbishment and quality claims have not been independently tested.
Before paying
- Confirm the exact model and processor generation, RAM, storage, display and included charger. Similar model names can cover different specifications.
- Inspect the actual unit for damage, missing screws, keyboard wear and screen faults. Test the ports, Wi-Fi, camera, sound and charging.
- Ask for battery-health information and clarify whether the battery is covered by the warranty.
- Confirm that the computer can be set up for your use, with no unresolved former-owner or organisation lock. Check the operating-system licence and suitability for the software you need.
- Obtain the condition grade, defects, return period, warranty exclusions and repair arrangements in writing.
- Get an itemised total price and receipt identifying the machine. Ask whether tax, delivery and accessories are included.
There is no verified universal three-month warranty for Nairobi’s used-computer trade. The particular seller’s written terms govern the offer, subject to applicable consumer law.
Tip: For a bulk purchase, agree on a written specification and acceptance test for every unit. A good sample machine does not establish the condition of the whole batch.
