How to Get Your M-PESA Statement in 5 Minutes

Need your M-PESA statement for a loan application, a visa, or just to find out where your money went last month? You no longer need to queue at a Safaricom shop. You can request a full statement straight to your email from your phone in a few minutes, or view your transactions in Safaricom’s app.
What You Need
- A registered Safaricom M-PESA line
- Your M-PESA PIN
- A working email address (for the full statement)
How to Get a Full M-PESA Statement via USSD (*334#)
- Dial *334# on your Safaricom line.
- Select My Account.
- Select M-PESA Statement.
- Choose Request Statement, then pick the type of statement and the period you want.
- Enter your email address.
- Enter your M-PESA PIN to confirm.
The statement is sent to your email as a password-protected PDF. By default, the password is your National ID number.
How to Get a Mini Statement by SMS
If you only want to see your last few transactions, dial *334#, go to My Account > M-PESA Statement > Mini Statement, and enter your PIN. The recent transactions are sent to you by SMS.
How to Get Your Statement on the App
In April 2026, Safaricom launched My OneApp, which combines the M-PESA app and the mySafaricom app. Safaricom has said it plans to retire the older apps, so My OneApp is the one to download. Open the M-PESA section, go to your statements, choose the period and export or download the statement.
Tips
- Any charge for a statement is shown before you confirm with your PIN.
- Check your spam or promotions folder if the email does not arrive within a few minutes.
- Banks and embassies usually want the full PDF statement emailed by Safaricom, not screenshots.
