Kenya has 47 county governments, each led by an elected governor. Whether you need a business permit, want to pay land rates, or have a complaint about a county service, your county’s official website is the best place to start. Most county sites have a “Contact Us” page with current phone numbers, email addresses and office locations.

- Genuine county government websites end in .go.ke. Be careful with look-alike sites ending in .com or .co.ke that ask for payments.
- County phone numbers and emails change often, so this list links to each county’s own website rather than repeating numbers that may go stale. Look for “Contact Us” on the site.
- Most county fees, such as single business permits and parking, are paid through county payment systems or eCitizen. Always confirm the payment details on the official county site.
- Governors listed are those in office after the August 2022 general election, as listed by the Council of Governors. The next general election is due in August 2027.
